About the event
We have two PMS members working on the front lines and we're going to hear from both of them. Dr. Darpun Sachdev is a Clinical Specialist for the San Francisco Department of Public Health and is the clinical lead for medical investigations of the COVID-19 pandemic. San Francisco has become the model city in the US for its effectiveness in flattening the curve, in large part, because of the work local government, and specifically the SFDPH has been doing.
Dr. Abhi Trivedi specializes in critical care medicine & pulmonology diseases at Rush Hospital in Chicago, making her one of the most qualified doctors to treat COVID patients in Chicago. The hospital's intensive care unit has roughly 25% of all COVID-19 patients on ventilators statewide, with 1 out of every 20 people hospitalized with the virus in Illinois being treated at Rush.
